Leslie David Sanderson
(March 2, 1944 - March 19, 2011)

Leslie D. Sanderson (K9LES), age 67 of Kewaunee, Wisconsin passed away at home on Saturday, March 19, 2011 after a two year battle with lung cancer. Les was surrounded by his family for the final hours and quietly passed in his sleep.

He was born on March 2, 1944 to the late Dewey and Olga (Schmidt) Sanderson.

Leslie lived in Kewaunee for his entire life working with the U. S. Corps of Engineers and later at Vollrath Corp.

Leslie married Cynthia Kohlbeck December 24, 1972 and had two children, Bryan and Todd Sanderson. Leslie enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and fishing until his declining health prevented him from these activities. Les also enjoyed gardening, talking on his C.B. and ham radio and making jewelry.

Surivors include his wife: Cyndy; two sons and one daughter-in-law: Bryan and Rachel Sanderson; Todd Sanderson both of Kewaunee; two grandchildren: Manon and Kyle Sanderson; two brothers: Glenn Sanderson, Green Bay and Dr. Dennis Sanderson, Huntington, VA; one sister-in-law: Karen (Frank) Kirschenheiter, Antioch, IL; one brother-in-law: Joseph (Teri) Kohlbeck, Kewaunee. He was preceded in death by his father-in-law and mother-in-law: Louis and Madeline (Kemp) Kohlbeck.

Friends may call after 5:00 p.m. Thursday, March 24 at Buchanan Funeral Home, Kewaunee until the time of services.
A memorial service will be held at 8:00 p.m. celebrated by Dcn. Robert Pribek.
